June 2009.  Summer is here.  Bike is still not done.  Piss.  Getting parts is a slow process.  Just finding them is a pain in the ass.  I keep running into little things that are missing.  I also found out the float bowl on the carb is cracked and leaks fuel like a down pour.

However, I did find a painter.  Thanks to Rich for being reasonable and doing a fantastic job on the white paint I wanted.  Turned out great.

We left off with a mock up of the bike.

And finally I've got painted parts.

Well now, I do believe it's time to do something with this big paper weight I have sitting in the garage.

This part connects to that part...

Fender and forks attached.  A few notes:  First, strap the frame down to the bench!

This whole process was a complete bitch.  Getting the fender up into the forks without scratching the fender was very difficult.  I wound up putting small pieces of a sheet over the fender and working it up into place.

Then getting the shocks aligned was aggravating at best.  But, it's DONE!

Working in an NOS wiring harness, headlight bucket with NOS speedo and also the ignition and steering lock.

Center stand installed and rolled on to the table for a more convenient work space.  Jr. is studying a parts schematic on the rear of the bike.

Look Ma!  Rear cushions and swing arm!

Handle bars and cable set installed.  Now I wait for more parts in the mail.
