July is almost over.  So is this project.

Remaining parts arrived and the bike is 95% done.

Rear wheel and final drive was installed along with the rear braking parts.  Chain guard and sprocket covers are on and pretty much every thing else that I needed to put on.  Nate came by on Sunday morning and rocked me out of bed to get the wiring done.  We wound up working for about 10 hours and when we were done, we were riding the bike!  There are still a couple of things to finish up, but it's alive at last.

Remaining short list is...

get break light working - the bulb and switch are good there is a wiring problem somewhere,

change headlight ring for a better one that I have - the good headlight is in a crappy ring, and the beam adjuster is froze, so it will take some patience to get out,

adjust the clutch - good lord, is it really that stiff???

change the horn - which it would seem died and/or I shorted/fried it when Nate and I were doing the wiring,

change/fix gas line due to leakage - that may result in pulling the tank and tearing the petcock apart again - our first petcock install resulted in a half gallon of gas all over the engine and everything else below it,

getting and installing hand grips, installing a better ground strap, installing the air cleaner, and putting the side covers on.

And there you have it.
