July 2008 - Damn the garage is hot.  With the pistons finally in I came to the rationalization that I ought to get some of these ziploc bags off my desk and do some of the case sides assembly.  After a few tries, I got the correct order to put on the gears, oil pump and clutch.

The spring for the kick start was a bit of a pain, but no blood was shed.

The pictures of the final head assembly are missing due to the fact I had no hands free durring the process and my wife was thankfully holding up the fishing line connected to the cam chain.

One note about this, first time I slid the head down on the studs, it stopped.  The rocker arm shafts had slid in too far and were obstructing passage down the studs.  I had to loosen up the cam a bit and adjust them out and replace the side covers holding the cam and make sure they stayed put.

All in all, things are coming along pretty well.  I've had to hunt down bolts and screws here and there, but it's looking good.  I was able to install the right side cover, starter, and valve adjustment caps as well.

On to the left side, I think I have the spark advancer timing thing a ma bobber in correctly, but I did not do the adjustments yet for a variety of reasons.  I installed the front sprocket and starter gear and chain and am now pondering the clutch adjuster and neutral roller whatever.  My original pics of the area are pretty bad; and I'm a bit fuzzy on exactly how this goes together.
